Crete – Greece 🇬🇷

While Crete has been on my list for a very long time, other attractions further away seemed more in focus. But since this year everything is different and Greece had a very efficient way of testing people randomly on arrival, it was an easy choice to make. And Crete really delivered!

Being one of the largest and most mountainous island in the Mediterranean enables its visitors to enjoy a vast diversity of landscapes such as perfect beaches (what most people come for), mountains with a huge variety of hiking trails, omnipresent history from thousands of years of human habitation to beautiful ancient cites centers in Chania, Rethimno and Heraklion. Last but not least the excellent local food & wine can be found almost everywhere at very affordable prices.
