Like in another post one could say why San Diego again! Well there is never enough SD for me. It’s my second home since having lived there in the 90ies and gone back more or less every year.
It was the first time after the long Covid closure of the US and 1 1/2 years since my last visit, then a 👉 road trip from Las Vegas to Southern California.
As always I enjoyed great days whether spending late afternoons at the beach or hikes in the local back country, such as the complete underrated Anza Borrego State Park, which could easily go through as a National Park.
I also love the relative still small beach towns of Encinitas and Del Mar, and of course not having to stay at a hotel but with friends in La Jolla just can not be topped.
The weather proofed to be as expected late fall weather Southern California style with warm to even hot days and chilly nights, with these truly spectacular sunsets every single day.
